Aynur works as a senior advisor at the Global Disaster Preparedness Centre (GDPC) with a focus on climate change and extreme heat, particularly in urban settings. She has been instrumental leading the urban disaster risk reduction and preparedness work of the Red Cross Red Crescent network over the last decade. In her current role she focuses on strengthening local capacities through close collaboration with global partners and field teams in developing innovative approaches, analytical and assessment tools and methodologies aimed at scaling up our impact.
