Personal Emergency Preparedness (PEP)
The Personal Emergency Preparedness (PEP) class is specifically designed to help residents prepare for a disaster and to take care of themselves and their families before, during and after a disaster.
NOTE: Attending a PEP class is a pre-requisite to register for the CERT training.
The City of Fremont’s Fire Department FREE Personal Emergency Preparedness class is specifically designed to help residents prepare for a disaster and to take care of themselves and their families before, during and after a disaster.
This is a one-time 3 hour class in which you will learn:
Earthquake and disaster awareness
Gas, electric, & water shut off
Hazardous material awareness
Fire extinguisher types
Smoke detector placement
Sheltering in-place
