Personal Emergency Preparedness (PEP)

The Personal Emergency Preparedness (PEP) class is specifically designed to help residents prepare for a disaster and to take care of themselves and their families before, during and after a disaster.

NOTE: Attending a PEP class is a pre-requisite to register for the CERT training.


The City of Fremont’s Fire Department FREE Personal Emergency Preparedness class is specifically designed to help residents prepare for a disaster and to take care of themselves and their families before, during and after a disaster.

This is a one-time 3 hour class in which you will learn:

  • Earthquake and disaster awareness
  • Gas, electric, & water shut off
  • Hazardous material awareness
  • Fire extinguisher types
  • Smoke detector placement
  • Sheltering in-place

Class Timing: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Class Location: Fremont Fire Administration Building at 3300 Capitol Avenue (behind building)    [show map]

Class Timing: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Hands-On at 12:30PM Till Complete)
